Annex Theatre
Set in Venice, Nine revolves around a celebrated film director who is savoring his most recent success while dreading his imminent 40th birthday. His attempts to come up with a plot for his next film are frustrated not only by a midlife crisis blocking his creative impulses, but also a web of romantic entanglements. As his sanity and his marriage disintegrate, he drifts into nostalgic reverie, reverting to the personality he had at the age of nine.
