Congratulations to the Summer Class of 2014!

The Class of 2014 said goodbye to their Randolph Academy faculty and classmates with a rendition of “Morning Glow” in their final performance at the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts. 

The 49 students graduated on August 10, 2014, in the historic Randolph Theatre where the class just closed a critically acclaimed run of Into the Woods, The graduates were sent on their way with words of wisdom from world renowned actor, vocalist and cabaret artist Thom Allison, and valedictorian Joel Schaefer (Calgary, AB).  The graduates join the ranks of alumni who have distinguished themselves on world stages and screens.

Several awards were presented at the ceremony, including:

-   Justine Grimes nee Cowie (Holland Landing, ON) received the Governor General’s Collegiate Bronze Medal. The medal is awarded to the student who achieves the highest overall averageupon graduation from a diploma-level, post-secondary program.

-    Chimaka Umeh (Calgary, AB) won the Eileen Farrell Most Improved Award, which recognizes the student who has demonstrated growth in each discipline, overall work ethic, and potential to succeed in the business. Amaka most recently played the featured role of the Narrator in the class’ final production, Into the Woods

- Troy Goldthorp (Calgary, AB) won the Triple Threat Award, which is awarded based on talent as well as growth, work ethic, and potential for industry success. Troy most recently played the lead role of the Baker in the class’ final production, Into the Woods
