Tara Young Named Chief Executive Officer of RCPA

Tara Young has been named as Chief Executive Officer of the Randolph College for the Performing Arts. Ms. Young will provide strategic leadership and management of the day-to-day operations of the College, assuring the College's accomplishments and financial sustainability are aligned with the College's mission, vision and goals. She joins Lauren Brett Randolph, Executive Director, and Tamara Bernier Evans, Artistic Director, as part of the leadership team of the College. She will begin her role on October 1, 2018.

"Tara will be a voice and inspiration for our students," says Lauren Brett Randolph, Executive Director, RCPA. "After living internationally and in New York for the past few years, Tara is coming to us with her years of expertise, bringing a global understanding of the requirements of the entertainment industry. In addition, she has spent the past few years conducting lectures and workshops about what is important in arts education and also what is essential in the entertainment industry. Tara has a long affiliation with Randolph College and she aligns beautifully with the artistic vision of the school. We look forward to her wealth of insight, knowledge and leadership, and are excited to welcome her back home."

Tara Young's career shows how robust, rich and rewarding a career built on performing arts education can be. She has worked as an Artistic Director and Associate on over a dozen Broadway shows and national tours. In addition to creating musical productions and working with notable groups such as the New York City Ballet, New York City Opera, LA Opera, the Boston Pops Orchestra, Tara lends her vast experience and knowledge of Broadway by leading workshops and appearing as a guest lecturer. Tara's skills have been leveraged as Artistic Director with Cirque du Soleil on the Michael Jackson's The Immortal World Tour; Artistic Deputy General Manager of Dragone's The Han Show (Wuhan, China) and Resident Artistic Director of Dragone's La Perle (Dubai, UAE). With a career spanning three decades of stage and screen, she has traveled the globe working on numerous world-renowned stages both large and small from Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall, and Palais des Congress, to Madison Square Garden and the O2 Arena. Her unique approach and boundless energy has kept her as a sought after voice among programs offering education in theatre. Her workshops are taught to all levels from performing arts elementary and high schools to Universities throughout the United States and Canada as well as participating in Cirque du Soleil's social outreach in the arts while on tour worldwide.
