Toronto is a city with easy access to a diverse arts scene and arts professionals. Toronto is:

  • North America’s third-largest in film and television production, dubbed Hollywood North

  • Home to key offices of ACTRA, National Film Board, Canadian Actor’s Equity Association, Directors Guild of Canada, Playwrights Guild, SOCAN, Pinewood Toronto Studios (Canada's largest film and television production complex), not to mention a high concentration of casting and talent agencies

  • The site of the Toronto International Film Festival, consistently ranked #3 among film festivals in the world, topped only by Sundance and Cannes

The Neighbourhood

The Randolph College is located on the southwest border of Toronto’s Annex Neighborhood (and within 5 km of Canada’s most groundbreaking theatres.)

Close to the University of Toronto, the Annex features tree-lined, residential streets featuring Victorian and Edwardian homes. The Annex is densely populated and has a thriving cultural scene, with arts venues, music clubs, and cinemas, plus a fitness centre, retail stores and restaurants catering to post-secondary students. The area is easily accessible by public transportation, serviced by Bathurst Street station on the Bloor-Danforth subway line as well as the 511 streetcar line and multiple bus routes.

Housing

Toronto is home to three universities, a degree-granting college of art and design, and four colleges of applied arts and technology as well as many private post-secondary institutions. As a result, student housing in Toronto is in very high demand and costs vary.

While Randolph College does not offer a residence building on site, our Director of Student Services assists accepted students with researching housing options. A list of recommended residences is available from the Admissions Department upon acceptance to the college program. Accepted students can also contact Randolph College’s Director of Student Services directly for more information.
