Fall 2021 Term

Many of you are wondering what the Fall Term will look like. Trust me, we are too! The government is currently in the process of rewriting the guidelines for post-secondary institutions given the vaccination rates and other positive progress that has been made in the past few months. As those guidelines have not yet been released, I can't tell you exactly what school will look like in September.

I can tell you that we are planning for classes to be as in-person as possible, with several variations on the schedule, depending on what the new regulations state in terms of distancing and other health and safety procedures.

This may mean that all classes can be done in person, that sometimes only half of the class is in person while the other half is online and the groups flip every week, or that some classes are completely online.

What I can say is that you will most likely be in the building at least a couple of days every week, if not every day.

Please plan to be available for in-person classes starting Tuesday, September 7th. At this time, we are unable to provide for a completely remote learning option in the Fall term, but we are planning to have options available for you to attend class remotely on a short-term basis if anyone is experiencing symptoms.

I truly wish I could tell all of you exactly what things will look like in September, but if you think about how much has changed in the past two months alone, you can see how impossible it is to predict what will happen two months from now. I appreciate your flexibility and patience on the matter, and I hope that you can continue to extend that flexibility and patience a little bit longer as we work through this together. Be assured that we will follow all local public health guidelines and that our priorities remain your health, safety, and quality of education.

Please don't hesitate to reach out directly if you have any questions or concerns.
