Notice: March 17, 2020

FOLLOWING IS A MESSAGE THAT WAS SENT TO ALL COLLEGE STUDENTS ON MARCH 17, FOR REFERENCE:

Thank you for your patience as we mobilize to respond to this unprecedented challenge to our normal operating procedure. As of today, March 17:

  • RCPA will not be re-opening to the public, including college students, for the remainder of the WINTER 2020 term, i.e., until April 8. We hope to reconvene college classes for the May term; please plan with this in mind, until further notice.

  • RCPA admin and faculty are putting plans in place to deliver the rest of the WINTER 2020 term's college course content. Content is being organized by faculty and will be delivered virtually/online. The goal is to complete all of this term's college courses by April 8.

  • We are looking at a range of free platforms to deliver online classes for the remainder of the term. Platforms include Zoomchat, Skype, Discord, YouTube, Vimeo, Google docs, as well as email. Your instructors will inform you regarding how they intend to deliver content and timeframes for delivery. Please be flexible and check your email regularly regarding scheduling changes as we get things sorted out.

  • The 5th term shows The Awakening of Spring and Life of Galileo have been and will remain postponed. Patrons who have purchased tickets to these productions will be contacted to move their seats to a rescheduled performance.

  • Marks will not be completed until the end of term. Please continue to finish your assignments as directed.

  • During the two-week suspension of activity at 736 Bathurst, a team of industrial cleaners will be in the building for a complete sanitization as a precautionary measure, including all surfaces.

  • RCPA is currently looking for ways to provide content and engage its community virtually. Please stay tuned for some community activities and classes.

We really appreciate your support as we navigate a new way of doing things. We will get through this together.

Sincerely

Michael Reinhart

Artistic Director
